I want to be able to set-up authorization to F110 based on Users

example,

1- peson to be able to create proposal

2nd person to be able to release and proposal and either be able to print checks

or 3rd person to print checks

i tried goign to to F110 Environment and then authorizations where it gives me what i can grant access to. But when I go to assign the transaction and then to autorization I can't relate the objects, that tells me which one is for execute proposal, execute payment run etc....

Any ideas, how I can do this will be greatly appreciated.

Remember that these objects affect both checks and EFTs.

The auth objects in question are F_REGU_KOA and F_REGU_BUK. These should spawn automatically when you add tcode F110 to a role in tcode PFCG.

In any event, these are activities that are associated with these objects. These are listed below:

02 Edit parameters

03 Display parameters

11 Execute proposal

12 Edit proposal

13 Display proposal

14 Delete proposal

15 Create payment medium proposal

21 Execute payment run

23 Display payment run

24 Delete payment run payment data

25 Create payment media of payment run

26 Delete payment orders of payment run

31 Print payment medium manually

Unfortunately, they are not in the drop-down in PFCG for the above objects. So when you give this to your security person you will need to list the activities you want in each role (i.e. proposal creating, payment posting, check printing and/or ACH file creating). I recommend not giving anyone activity 15 as this allows "test" payment media to be created which we have never needed. Also be careful about giving the delete activities.

Hello Jason, I am testing teh new roles, by restricting F110, however I realized that for teh role that I gave access to 02, 03, 11, 12, 13,15, I am able to create proposal which is fine, but I can't display proposal after I have submitted. How can i display proposal in case we want to see what is getting pay/

Your help will be greatly appreciated,

I would avoid giving activity 15 to the users. That allows them to create "test" payment mediums (i.e. checks and EFT advices). Also be careful with activities 24, 26 which can be disasterous in the wrong/inexperienced hands.

I don't know why your user cannot display the proposal but be sure that you give the activities on both of the auth objects I listed above. If that checks out, but sure to look at the actual error message long text. Send it to me with the message number and message class.

Finally, when all else fails prepare an authorization trace for the user using ST01. Start the trace, then have the user try the F110 transaction and display the proposal. Analyze the trace to see what auth objects are missings/failing.

I hope this helps

Thank You Jason I finally got it to work.

just one last question on this one, why to be careful on #15, don't I need to select this option if I want payment advices to print?

15 will allow payment media (advices) to print based on the proposal only which of course can be edited before the final payments are posted.

31 will allow the payment media to print based on the final payment run.

Eliminating 15 will supress the check box Print Payment Medium when you schedule the proposal which will prevent advices being created at that time.

I think sending such an advice would be potentially misleading to a vendor since you would be saying "we plan to pay you this amount, but since we can block your payment when editing the proposal, we cannot guarantee you will actually get paid". Also, it will not be very clear to your vendor that the proposal remittance advice is just that. Once they receive the final remittance advice they will probably think you paid them twice. Just my $0.02.

Glad you got it to work.

Dear,

I created the role "Z_TESTE_AP_AL11" in SAP to test the authorization

objects F_REGU_BUK and F_REGU_KOA with the field FBTCH and activity 31

(Print payment medium manually). I associated the user TESTE_AP to this

role.

The user TESTE_AP has the authorization 02, 03, 11, 12, 13, 14, 21, 23,

25 for all company code and all account type, but doesn´t have access toprint the payment medium manually (activity 31). You can see it in the

attached document.

But the user can print the payment medium with the button "PRINTOUT", is there any problem with

this activity 31 in the authorization object F_REGU_BUK and F_REGU_KOA?

I don´t want that the user has access to print the payment medium again, just during the payment run with the option "Create payment medium".

Best regards,

I have the same issue, though I removed activity 31, users are still able to click on "Printout" manually which is creating duplicate ACH files. Have you found a way to restrict this? Let me know. Thanks!

Hi

For this roles / Authorization assignments to user you need to check with SAP-Basis team

1 peson to be able to create proposal = SAPF110V - VOEX

2 person to be able to release and proposal and either be able to print checks - F110V-XSTRF

3 person to print checks

These roles based on the person responsible needs to be assigned to the respective person used id's in SAP

Let me know for any information
