Hi Gurus,
I have a weird situation with the PM ATP availability check in PM. I have done the customizing steps with tcodes OPJK and OPPJ (only considers safety stock & Reservations). Availability check "02" in material master. But when i run the availability check on a newly created material which obviousvly doesn't have any stock, it is checked as available. and the required quantity is confirmed however big it is... Same thing happen in CO09 with the checking rule i use, EVERYTHING is being confirmed despite there is no stock. Anything special about PM availability check ? Any idea what i should check ?
Cheers,
Olivier

MD,
You can run an ATP check in each order either for a single material from the components tab, or for the whole order from the header.
There's also an Avaialbility report which can be accessed from the Order menu.
It's also common to configure the system to perform an ATP check at each save.

even more stupid than that, Materials had MRP group but checking rule wasn't assigned to MRP group level in OPPJ only plant level. I solved the issue. Thanks anyway Pete !

Olivier,
What material type is it?
Maybe its not subject to ATP checks????
