actual assemssment

Hi...

I'm new to sap.. and I came to know that T.CODE "KSU5" is for to execute actual assessment... Could any one of you tell for what purpose do we use this...... and when we execute this t.code... it is asking "cycle" name.... How to create that cycle..? and what is the meaning of that..
