How to view the doc's in WebPage Format

Hi Folks

i have uploaded couple of documents with different extension , such as

1. documentText.txt

2. documentWord.doc

3. documentexcel.xls

My requirement is ,

at the time of viewing the document from KM , it should be viewed in WebPage Format.....(sth Like WordPad) format.

Kindly let me know the Configuration that need to be done to achive this requirement.

You need to set the MIME Type for these file extensions to open as HTML file ...

Go to System Admin > System Config > Content Management > Utilities > Mime Type

search the file extension required and change the application to HTML type ...

Thanks for the info

but i still some more clarity, with below configuration step i will be reaching at a point , where i will be creating new MIME Types

1.Need info at this point

In the creation of new MIME types its asking for

following things, which i am not clear

• Extension

• Locale

• MIME_TYPE

• Resource Bundle File

• Resource Key

Imp: Once on providing all the above details , this newly created MIME has to be called from the application, if so, from where?
