Special periods posting-reg

Dear Gurus

due to some internal company policies we have not closed the 2007-08 FY. as it allows 4 periods as special period in which we can post transactions. To close 07-08 still it may take another 20days. In autust 2008 whether SAP can allow to post trasactions .
