What is the meaning of the release indicators:

3,4,5,6

Changeability of Purchasing Document During/After Release for Release Indicators (Release ID) are as follows:

" " Changeable, new release in case of new strategy

1 Cannot be changed

2 Changeable, no new determination of strategy

3 Changeable, new release in case of new strategy

4 Changeable, new release in case of new strat. or val. change

5 Changeable, new release if new strategy/outputted

6 Changeable, new rel. if new strat. or value change/outputted

Are you Talking aout the same then,

3, 4, 5, 6 will allow change in PO for respective Release ID.

New Release will apply to PO as for the above as given below:

3 - In case of New Strategy.

4 - In case of New Strategy / Value Increases by % defined.

5 - In case of New Strategy / PO Outputted.

6 - In case of New Strategy / Value Increases by % defined / PO Outputted.

Hi,

Release indicators

A release indicator shows the release status of a PO.

Via the following settings, you can define the release indicators you need for your release procedure:

The Released indicator is used to specify whether messages (PO documents in output format) may be transmitted for a purchase order with this indicator.

The Changeability indicator shows the effect of changes to the PO (a change to a PO may require a new release strategy to be determined, for instance).

By means of the Value change indicator, you can specify that the release strategy is to be re-started if a PO is changed and the value of a PO item thereby increases by a certain percentage (e.g. 10%). Set the Changeability indicator to "4 - Changeable, new release in case of new strategy or value change" or "6 - Changeable, new release in case of new strategy or value change/outputted" and enter a percentage in the Value change field.

Attention:

The following release indicators are necessary for every release procedure:

Release indicator for initial status

If the PO is subject to a release strategy, it must normally be released before it can be transmitted to the vendor. Therefore, when a PO is created, it is assigned a release indicator that blocks it from being outputted in message form.

The Released indicator mustnot be selected for this indicator.

Release indicator for released status

This indicator is assigned to the PO when it is released.

The Released indicator must be selected for this indicator.

Hi Shreya,

If you talking about Release Indicator releated to PO/PR/RFQ/OA related to Release Procedure.

This Release Indicator will specifies that whether the Purchasing documents can be blocked or released.

Regarding changability 3,4,5,6 this will defines how the system will react to the Purchasing documents if you change the Documents once the Release process is started.

4 -->RFQ/PO no changes

5--> purchase requistion

6-->RFQ for Bid

Please explain the indicators , how do they work in SAP.

E.G. if i change the value and want the release to be triggered once again waht should be the indicator.

Like this please explain me with details.

Hi

3- Changeable, new release in case of new strategy

In case of nay Changes which are relevant or any change whcih may effect for anew strategy to determine

4- Changeable, new release in case of new strat. or val. change

If any value chnage in the PO then the PO will be subjected for approval

in this case of PO is outputted relase will not be reset

5- Changeable, new release if new strategy/outputted

If the PO is already outputted & any change apart from value which effects the PO will trigger the Release strategy

6- Changeable, new rel. if new strat. or value change/outputted

If any value chnage in the PO & the PO is outputted then the RS will be liable for reset
