Hi all,

Can you please provide syntax or paste cmds of how to connect to the IQ db using SQL on the IQ Host. Really been struggling how to do this for ages. so thought i'd post

So the equivalent of Oracle sql plus or HANA hdbsql so that I can query db directly on db host.

This is my best effort (which fails):

dbisql -c "uid=dba;pwd=sql;eng=myhost_IQS_10;dbn=SAPIQDB"

The DISPLAY environment variable is not set.

It must be set for Interactive SQL to operate correctly.

Hello, use this syntax

dbisql -c "uid=dba;pwd=sql;eng=myhost_IQS_10;dbn=SAPIQDB" -nogui

"eng" should point to IQ server name. (-n IQservername refered in IQ cfg file)

If it consists of connectioon to IQ db running on remote host then connection string would be:

dbisql -c "uid=dba;pwd=sql;eng=myhost_IQS_10;dbn=SAPIQDB;links=tcpip{host=<hostname>;port=<port#>}" -nogui

To display current IQ DB sessions running on local network, execute IQ client utility: dblocate -d
