what is the implication if i add more components, aside from those already allotted to the production order when i confirm this operation?
Hi Raf,
If the Stock is there for the extra added components they will also b issued to the Production Order.
You can see that the actual costs for the Order will be increased.

Hi,
If you assign the components at the time of 1st Operation confirmation then at that time only the Goods will be issued.
For the 2nd Operation confirmation, if not assigned in the Operation or at goods movements button in CO11N they will not be issued again.
If not specified, system will assign all the components to the first operation.

Siva

so do you mean to say, that for the second operation to get the additional issuance plus the original allocation, i must have issued them during confirmation of my first operation?

if a user makes additional issuance of components to an order during confirmation of first operation (system side), how about in reality, during the actual shop floor processing, (physical side) , on the second operation will they also receive the additional issuance, along with the original components?
Generally, for long lead time products, we will assign the comonents to individual operations.
Otherwise, irrespective of the operation actually the component is being used, we will issue it at the time of first operation confirmation.
If you assign the components again to the operaions apart from the first operation then it will be excess consumption, otherwise this is how the shot lead time produts we manage.
Hope this helps..

Siva
Hi Raf,
If stock is there then no issue.
This type of goods issue are considered as Unplanned goods movement - Other then Reservation.

Hi Raf,
You will get same result as like you issue the material for production order through BOM. Cost incurred will get increase and stock of that component will get decrease from stock.
Hope clear to you.
