Upload the Batch details of an Item

Dear ALL,

How do we upload the batch details of an ITEM which is maintained as batch no' tracking.? This is especially necessary as in I would like to upload the inventory opening balance with help of DTW.

Any suggestions on this would be most favourable.

Hi Aditya,

Uploading Inventory opening balance through DTW update only stock count. When you do reconciliation, batch details to be entered manually.

So,

Option 1 is to use Goods Recipt and associated Batches DTW template

Option 2 is to use stock counting and reconiliation and enter batches information manually.

Hi Aditya

The best would be to use the templates for oInventoryGenEntry (Miscellaneous Goods Receipt). You will see that there is a separate template file for BatchNumbers as well. You do not have to bring opening stock balances in using the Initial Quantity function. Please note that not all fields for Document and Document Lines are needed to post a Miscellaneous Goods Receipt. For example, you do not need to use the BP Code field.

Its not helping, I'm looking for solution concerned to DTW for

batch detials of an item as in an opening balance.
