OLAP Tunnel - SapNote 1101187

Hi there,

we are using IP on BI7 and are facing performance problems in our application. That's why we are looking for ways to improve performance. We also came across SAPNOTE 1101187, but can hardly find any extensive documentation about when exactly this scenario would help. We have typcially done layouts on aggregation levels, sometimes functions use DataProvider Filters in the form of hidden queries. Can anyone point me to a more specific documentation about this "Olap-Tunnel" or can anyone comment on what it does exactly?
