Getting CCMS Alerts via mail

I was looking through the literature on Alert Framework for XI and I have a question on how to receive the alerts via mail

I know one way to do so is to configure the auto-reaction method CCMS_OnAlert_Email to get my CCMS alerts via electronic mail but if I configure CCMS Alerts to be forwarded to the Alert Framework, this means I would get my CCMS alerts in my Alert Inbox. If the SCOT and SMTP details are configured correctly and my electronic mail address is present in my SU01 user details, would I then receive the CCMS alerts by mail as well?
