Question Regarding Client Proxy configuration.

Hi All,

I am configuring Client Proxy for my scenarios in which I have to fetch data from ECC server for my XI server. I am following the steps as provided in the following blog:

Now when I have created the RFCs i.e LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI in ECC System I have a doubt that where should I maintain the program ID of these RFCs i.e whether in J2ee engine of XI or ECC??

Also if possible plz send me the other visual admin configurations for these RFC and exactly where these settings should be done and what values to be provided.

Regards,

Rookie.

I understand now, that we can use the same program ID of RFC destinations LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI maintained in XI server J2EE engine and no need to create any new.

Hi,

No need to Maintain the Program ID's in any of the J2EE Servers, already they are maintained at Visual Admin of XI and configured these RFC's at XI side also.

So u have to look at XI side these RFC's and make the same RFC's and config at R/3 side also with the same Program Id's.These Program ID's only IMP, it shld be same as XI side

You need to update the Program ID in your ECC server & take care that the values MUST be same as the program ID mentioned in both the RFC destinations of XI Server i.e if XI has XISEVER_XII program ID for SAPSLDAPI then ECC must have the same value.

Also take care that you will provide XI Server values in u201C Gateway Options u201C field while updating RFC destination in ECC.
