Crystal Ad-hoc tool - Filter not showing all choices

Former Member

I am using the Ad-hoc tool. When I add a filter one of the values for the field does not display in the list of choices. When I do not filter the results I can see the records with this value in the field. I don't think it will matter but the value is a code with the actual value 'CTA' - all other values show up in the filter list. Any ideas why this value is not showing up?

Thanks!

Joshua,

In order to unravel the mystery you are seeing, you'll need to speak with your universe person. For general information, it is possible to apply a where clause within a filter construct to limit the items that are presented to the user in a list. When the filter is applied and the list is pared down, you may not be able to detect this via examining the SQL code that was generated, this is why examining the universe via Designer will prove to be a beneficial exercise.

Thanks,

John

We are using Crystal Reports Explorer and we are not currently using "Universes." Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
