Mapping units in MultiProvider

Hi Friends,

I have two ODS's and each has LOCAL CURRENCY InfoObject and both of them show data in both ODS's

But when I created a MultiProvider, it shows only one populated with Data( From one InfoProvider) and the other is blank.So in my Report, it shows two lines, one with data and another with # sign.

I went to map the units fieldss in MultiProvider, but I don't get any option to map like ( Characterstic assignement)

Can someone please help me on this ?

Hello Priya,

Currency infoobjects need not be identified like other characteristics in a multiprovider - they are attached to key figures - so identifying the keyfigure is sufficient. If you are seeing # values for currency, I would suspect this is a data issue (did you idenitfy the key figures correctly?). Please check the data carefully - you can try by drilling down infoprovider in the query output to see from which infoprovider you are getting the records with #.

I am not getting IDENTIFIACATION Tab in KEy figure section in the edit MultiProvider screen.

Did I do something wrong?

Are you working on BI 7? Just next to the 'identify characteristics' button, you have the 'select key figures' button. You can also right click on any key figure and click 'select (assign)'.

Hi,

I am workin in 3.5 and still I don't see Identification Tab for Key Figures.

When I click on Key figures tab in Edit MultiProvider, I see Detail View, Units ans selection tabs.

I only see Identification Tab when I select Characterectics.

I have figured out the problem.Actualy, this MultiProvider was created by someone else and they didn't map the Key figures properly, So, I brought all the necessary fields to map and assigned appropriately.
