Creating Company Code

When I am trying to create a company code it says "communication eror with exteral tax system"... can anyone tell me what is this

HI...I am new to SAP...could you please elobrate on - "Test Connection" in RFC Destination (SM59).

Hi Mamatha,

Since this is a communication error, check RFC destination defined in SM59 and in "Assignment of external system to logical destination" area in SPRO under

Financial Accounting -> Financial Accounting Global Settings -> Tax on Sales/Purchases -> Basic Settings -> External Tax Calculation -> Define Logical Destination.

You may want to do "Test Connection" in RFC Destination (SM59).

If you have created the company code with copying method, Check the setting in External tax calculation settings.

SPRO--> F Acg --> F.Acg Global Settings --> Tax on sales/purhases > basic settings> External Tac Calculation Settings.

Or Check settings in SM59

External Tax calcuation is used when Jurisdicion code based tax system is active.
