MRP by storage location

is it possible to run MRP by storage location. pls advice. thanks

Hi,

MRP run can be executed for below

1. Material

2.Plant

3.MRP area

MRP area can be defined for

1. plant : you can define a plant or group of plants as a MRP area

2. Storage location : a storage location or a group of storage locations can be defined as MRP area, and then if MRP will be executed for this MRP area then effectively MRP run will be carried at storage location .

In MRP 1 view of material master "indiactor MRP area exists should be ticked. for the material to be planned for this MRP area.

3.Vendor: suppose we want to plan materials for a vendor separately then we can define vendor as a MRP area.

Hi,

If you want to have MRP for Storage Location, then you need to go for MRP Areas.
