what is the difference between Corrective Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance & Breakdown Maintenance?

Hi,

In my opinion in simple words

Corrective Maintenance is to correct the helath of the equipment means to bring back its status to original condition from present condition,

Preventive Maintenance is actions we take with perdetermined parameters (time , performace) to keep equipment in original condition thus ensuring that the equipment condition will not get further detorites.

Breakdown Maintenance is the first aid dose (maintenace) done / given to restart the machine to avoid productivity loss.

Hello,

Maintenance cyle is five step process.

1.Notification

2.planning

3.scheduling

4.Execution

5.Completion

For Breakdown maintenance,

Usually the first three steps combines as one step ,after this step execution and the final is completion.This is for to reduce the breakdown time and to make work faster.

For corrective maintenance,

All the five steps are there

For Preventive Maintenance,

we do task lists and maintenance planning.this is for to decrease the order processing time.

1.corrective is carried out as a part to improve the working condition of the .

2.Breakdown is carried out when your eqpts has a breakdown nd notworking nd production is effected.

3.Preventive:- Done as a part of planning and avoid further breakdowns...
