- Needs Serial Numbers, ECNu2019s
while,
Process Industry, whose product can be Mixes, Blends, Transforms
- Uses Process Order
- UoM are generally Material Specific
- Variable Ingredients, by-products & Co-Products are used/generated
- Need Lot, Grades, Potency & Shelf-Life
Hope you will have clarity.
regards,

Production orders and Process Orders are two predominantly differant documents applied in differant manufacturing environments.Process orders are created in process manufacturing(like Chemical processes) with an integrated receipie management.Your PP is being configured for discrete manufacturing with Work order spawning.
