Debugging causes AS to behave oddly

Hi,

When I debug my WDP DC in NWDS what happens is:

I am asked for sources of standard system classes such as PooledExecutor$Worker, the debugger automatically pauses system threads, the AS does not crash but I get the web page with:

SAP WebAS Engine is starting...

If this state does not change within a few minutes,
please contact your system administrator.
Check the recommendations in SAP Notes: 943498, 764417

Message: Dispatcher running but no server connected

Actually the AS is green in the J2EE server, and it is NOT starting.

Something's wrong with the debugger... can ayone please explain?

Vincenzo

When the AS is in the Debug mode lots of memory is consumed. I just cannot comment on your problem because i dont know what is the configuration of your server. Genrally the severs should have at least 4 GB Ram. other wise as you said the sever will be running but you will see nothing as the debugger needs to go through lods of internall classes. This can also happen when many developers hit the server in the Debug mode at once.

Check for the sys config. let me know the status because this might even help me too.

Hi,

Mate i am not asking about the details of the j2ee engine which appears in the nwds. I was refering to the phisical sys config for you server. Ok tell me are you going for a Develpment sever of QA? That might give me little information about you config.

Regards,

Arun.
