Internal number range skip?

Hi,

In Web UI, when ever I start creating a new BP or a Sales order, and if I close the window without saving. When I open it again to create a new BP or slaes order, the number seems to jumped to the next number even though I never saved the previous one. Why is this so?

In SAP GUI it seems ok, but why is this only happening in Web GUI? any ideas?

Cheers

    Hi,

I assume you have set an early number assignment for BP and sales order while creating them in the webUI. Only that way, you would know the internal number assigned to without saving the objects.

This may be a problem due to the config setting of early number assignment and the browser cache of the previous session still existing.

So, can you please try deleting the server cache and trying once again. If it still is a problem, please uncheck the early number assignment for BPs and sales orders. Anyways, early number assignment really does not make sense if you do not have any specific business requirement, as the number would anyway be visible after saving the object.

    Hope it solves your problem!

    Thanks,

    Sudipta.
