I wanted to ask if anyone has ever tried to create Remote Source using GENERIC ODBC as adapter? What does GENERIC mean in this case? Can I create Remote Source to any other database with this adapter or just to supported ones?
What I would like to do is create Remote Source to Informix database. Is it even possible using this GENERIC ODBC adapter? Do I have to create new Configuration File(How?) or can I use any of the existing ones?
Or would it be better to use Smart Data Integration? Read that there are available adapters like CamelInformixAdapter etc. to connect to Informix sources.
