Hi,
We are implementing ECM and in planning screen there is a hyperlink against Employee Name that opens employee compensation profile in a separate window.
We configured service that is associated with a resource in HomePage Framework and linked that service against the employee name column in OADP.
When i dont put anything in Window Name of the resource and clicks on any employee name in the planning screen then Employee Profile opens fine on top of planning screen in the Portal. But when i keep _blank in the window name of the resource employee profile will open in a new window and it says
"To Display data ,please select and employee".
So If i am trying to open Employee Profile in a separate window it is not displaying any data but in portal it is working fine.
My requirement is to open the employee compensation profile in a separate window with data
Please let me know the solution for this wierd problem
Thanks
Bala Duvvuri
I resolved this issue in the following way.
Accidentally Employee profile page was deleted .so i created a page with all the standard iviews and then link stopped working. But somehow i managed to transport the standard page from QA to Dev and again it started working

Check out how MSS does it (at least for ECC6). It will open a new window for the selected employee under the "team" -> "employee information" link. I believe you have to make sure the iView is set to pass all parameters along and/or the config. Check the link there to start.

it is (more or less) normal, because the detailed display cannot work as a standalone application. (unless you do a modification)
you're supposed to select the employee first, and then click to see the details. The selected employee is transferred as a parameter to the detailed view application.
It's mentioned somewhere in the help of the MSS business package
