WM and Serial Number

Hi All,

I would like to get some information regarding the use of serial number in Storage Locations with Warehouse Managment (SAP) in SAP 4.7 version.

I am confused because I did not find any documentation in help.sap.com, but in sdn and OSS there are some notes correcting some topics of Physical Inventory, putaway or stock removal, but there is no full information.

Is there someone that can give us some light if:

1. WM can handle serial numbers at quant level or at least at bin level.

2. In case YES, how the system should be configured to handle it.

Hi Ram,

I am having problems when downloading the file. Can you see if there is any problem?

As far as I know from other collegues, I should have Storage locations with HU (HU Managed storage location). Is this OK? There is no other way to do this?

I would appreciate your answer and your feedback regarding the download.
