How to add custom plugins in Hybrid Application Toolkit?

Hi Experts,

I create custom SAPUI5 application with web-ide.

This application will be mobile application. So I use Hybrid Application Toolkit.

Previously We can add easily custom plugin with Kapsel but It is deprecated now.

How can I add custom plugin with Hybrid Application Toolkit? For example cordova google maps.

Best Regards,

Kaan.

    Hi Kaan,

In SAP Web IDE, activate the Hybrid Application Toolkit plugin.

Create a new project based on one of the standard templates.

Right click on the project and select Mobile > Select Cordova Plugins.

You will be able to add the Google Maps plugin, among 2000+ other plugins, publicly available in npm.

    Regards,

    Ludo

    • It looks like you've started with a web app project and now need to turn it into a mobile project.

Unfortunately, this step is troublesome now. We are working on a feature to enable this; but that is not yet released.

When you create a new project in Web IDE, while the HAT plugin is active, the project will automatically be enabled as mobile project. The menu items will be selectable then. The way to get there for existing projects is to copy to sources into the new project.

Another advice for you: please switch to Web IDE Full-Stack. The version of Web IDE you are using now is being phased out.

    Hi Kaan,

Are you using a productive landscape for this? Or do you see this on trial ?

    Thanks,

    Ludo

    • Select the Development & Operations, std tile and configure the service. On the left of your screen you should see a tab names "Roles". Make sure your user id is set for the roles specified in our documentation. You'll have to do the same for the Portal Service.
