Hi,

My requirement is to do remote client copy into a new client. I had creating a new client.

is it compulsory that first i have to do local client copy from client 000, and then go for remote client copy.

as I am doing it from Production client and all the settings will be there, what is the necessary to first do it from 000.

need some clarification.

Thanks and regards,

Kavitha

Hi,

Creation of client in the target sytem is mandatory. But

copying from 000 is not needed.

do not copy client 000 first - when you do the remote copy, all clients entrys has to be deleted. that needs much more time.

don't forget to use transaction scc7 after finishing the copy.

normally there is no "sapadmin"user because the client is empty. There is only sap* available.

If the client already exists, i prefer to delete it before the new copy. normally i do it with user sap*.
