We recently switched IP addresses, a change that affected our TMS Domain Controller. While we have now have communication between DEV & PRD and QAS & PRD, we are no longer able to communicate between DEV & QAS. We get the following error:
An RFC error occurred in the TMS communications layer.
Target system: QAS.DOMAIN_DEV(000)
Function: TMS_CI_CHECK_ACCESSTOKEN
RFC message: / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMINIT' : cmRc=20 thRc=236 SAP
We have gone into SM59 and run test connections on each of the TMSADM RFC connections, and they all work. We have run out of ideas on what to check/do next. Can anyone help?
Thanks to all who replied.

Hi,
Try recreating RFC destination from the TMS Domain Controlller. For that you have to login on 000 Client on the TMS Domain Controller (maybe your DEV Server ).
Check the TMS Route also.

Have you run all the checks from within STMS in client 000 of the domain controller? On the main page you can select Monitor - RFC Connections and in the queues there are a series of consistency checks (also available from the menu).
Another thing to try is running a trace (or looking for the file dev_rfc in the work directory). Here are some recommendations from SAP: [RFC trace generation scenarios|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/532918]
Thanks,
