Hello Friends,

I am setting up a scenario where I will sending some IDocs to HCI from my ECC system.

I got stuck in the first few steps it self. My RFC connection test fails with below log in SMICM.

[Thr 140695532963584] *** ERROR => NiBufIConnect: non-buffered connect pending after 5000ms (hdl 88;XXXXX-iflmap.hcisbp.eu1.hana.ond
[Thr 140695532963584] *** WARNING => Connect to XXXX-iflmap.hcisbp.eu1.hana.ondemand.com:443 failed: NIECONN_REFUSED(-10) {00012690
[Thr 140695532963584] IcmConnConnect: Connect failed for session GUI T23_U27624_M0, 100, USER522, HOSTXXXXX, time=12:11:10,

Can you please help in this. I have followed the steps mentioned by Bhavesh.

Regards

Amitabh

Dear Amitabh,

This error suggests a security/certificate issue with the connection.

I would recommend the following SAP blog: Cloud Integration – How to Setup Secure HTTP Inbound Connection with Client Certificates :https://blogs.sap.com/2017/06/05/cloud-integration-how-to-setup-secure-http-inbound-connection-with-client-certificates/#

I hope this helps.

Andy.

Dear Andy,

I was thinking so but not sure. And this blog you shared is bulls’s eye. Thank you so much.

Now in my case I am able to receive IDocs from HCI in ECC. Well while sending back the response this issue occurred. I just missed the certificate mapping with credentials as per the blog you shared.

Now my query is, what is this certificate. The own generated one in SSL pse in strust?

Hello Andy,

I have got a few queries and request for your clarification please.

- The credential-user mapping certificate should be the one created while we create the SSL Standard PSE in STRUST?

- Is it mandatory to get this certificate signed by a CA authority? Because even after uploading this certificate in CPI, I am still getting the same error.

- Just for testing a scenario customers might not want get this signing done. What is an alternative to that?

Amitabh

Dear Amitabh,

For certificate authentication it is mandatory to have a certificate signed by an Authority recognised by the Load Balancer of CP, see Load Balancer Root Certificates Supported by SAP: https://help.sap.com/viewer/368c481cd6954bdfa5d0435479fd4eaf/Cloud/en-US/4509f605e83c4c939a91b81eb3a6cdea.html?q=certificate%20authority.

Question 6 in KBA ##2524719 - FAQ: SCI/HCI simple questions, provides a number of links for certificate issues with CPI.

These should be of use for you.

Kind Regards,

Andy
