Deployment Approach for Deploying applications built using Freestyle IoT Template

Hello Team,

We are now currently working on Multi Stack Web IDE and trying to build our first IoT application using the Freestyle IoT Template, is it always mandatory to deploy the applications built using this Template to Cloud Foundry Environment or it can be deployed to Neo as well, if so can we have documentations for deploying the Free Style IoT applications to neo.

As we are more familiar with Neo environment in the past & we already achieved integrating neo with S/4 HANA On-Premise(using cloud connector) / Other 3rd Party API's.

Or if it is recommended to deploy the Free Style IoT Template to cloud Foundry we would like to get more info about Integrating the CF applications with following ,

->On-Premise Integration (Cloud Connector)

->FIORI Launchpad Deployments

->Other 3rd Party API's(REST protocol)

When you deploy to Neo then all access to IoT AE from the ui is via the destinations you already use with the web ide. Access from your own apps in neo to iot ae via these destinations should also be possible - but of course the performance characteristics are very different for the 2 environments and the operations concept is more complicated if you deploy application logic distributed across both.

Integration to other services probably should not be via the UI (other then in special cases) but your own backend logic.

But while using Free Style IoT template we are not able to see options to deploy to neo cloud platform, please see attached snapshots.

Not sure if it does show up in the UI or if you need to download the project as a zip file and then deploy it from that - have you followed the instructions for deployment and did those instructions work for you?

We understood how to deploy it to neo platform, but our goal is to deploy it to CF i think that is recommended if am correct, as similar to applications in the neo platform we would like to deploy the CF applications to FIORI launchpad and leverage portal services. Could you please let us know how we can deploy the CF applications to FIORI launchpad.
