If you are new to SAP, want to learn SAP EHSM / EHS, you have two different tracks to learn. One is to learn the SAP EHSM Suite which basically consists of Risk Assessment, Incident Management, Product compliance and environmental management. Other one is to learn modules around SAP EHS - Product Safety Stewardship including WWI Template design & Data migration effort.

Before taking up any of the above paths learn SAP 101 overview course or the latest SAP S4HANA01 / HA01 courses.

As far as books / trainings are concerned, there are couple of books around SAP EHS available, you may check those and SAP also provides trainings on those modules.

Learning is one aspect and getting into another project / hands on is another aspect. Check other threads on this topics in the community pages.

Wish you all the best.

Thanks and Regards

the topic: how to start a career with SAP and the story how to start a career with EHS/EHSM is discussed quite often here.

Coming bac to your wish: so you do not want to work as a project manager nbut as a consultant. In most cases two types of consultant are differentiated one "functional" and one "technical".

For technical career. You must get deep knowledge in ABAP etc.

For functional: career: you need to understand the demand, how to solve it, how to use the "application", how to describe e.g. test cases.; you need to work on test cases etc. Some "technical" skill are always required

Please take a look at blog "SAP EHS Management for Beginners". May be this helps so to look forward
