We are running Data Services 4.2 SP 7 and are being asked about the possibilities of using Data Services to load data from a Hadoop system into SAP BW. We are just in the process of selecting our Hadoop vendor and Data Services integration will be a factor in that decision
Our BODS system is running on Windows and most of the documentation suggests that Data Services should be run on the Linux platform for Hadoop integration.
I just wanted to confirm this to be the case, and ask if there is any scenario under which we might be able leverage our existing BODS (Windows) installation and avoid having to stand up a new BODS on Linux environment.
