Generic Data Source activation after transport.

Hi,

I am working on Generic Data Sources(Using Func Module).

Whenever I change my func module in ECC, I am replicating and activating the datasource in BID(BW Dev system). And also I am transporting in to BIQ after ECC transport(Func Module) goes to ECC Q. But my Data Source in Q is inactive while loading the data, though we transport the datasource activation req to Q.

I am getting this problem in our Production system as well. Could anybody help me to solve this problem??

Hello Hanuma,

What you can do, not to have to activate manually the datasource in Quality and Production, is to put the replication of the datasource in BW in your Transport Request.

You can do it in RSA1 -> Transport Connection -> Object Type -> Datasources

It should work fine this way.

Replication needs to be done manually, activation is done by transport.

Hi Hanuma,

Please follow the steps for Transporting.

1. Transport the things from ECC Dev to ECC Qlty

2. Replicate the Data source Manually in BW Qlty

3. Transport the BW Things in BW Dev to Qlty.

Replication needs to be done in qlty as well as in Production.
