Workflow tab

Help!

When i opened the MDM Data manager the workflow tab is greyed out .

Can any one have idea about it.

hi,

i have installed workflow.exe with correct version corresponding to my mdm version. now i'm able to define workflows but there is no possibility to start a workflow. the next thing is, that visio workflows are not saved to my workflow definition in data manager. if i save the definition and then open the definition again, there's nothing in it. is anyone here facing the same problems? mdm version: 5.5.60.67

How i will know that it is not installed or not and if it is not installed how to do.

Hello Brad,

WorkflowInstall component is available with the MDM Installables only under GUI Clients. It is a workflow engine that executes the MDM Workflows.When u will also download MS Visio u can design the workflows in them using the properties given

U can download it from Marketplace.... But u must marketplace ID & password.

If u dont hv ask ur Basis guys to download it for u.

here is path :

1) logon to service.sap.com => SAP Support Portal

2) go to Downloads =>SAP Support Packages within the top navigation

3) on the left, click "Entry by Application Group"

4) choose "SAP Netweaver" => "SAP MDM" => "SAP MDM 5.5" => GUI Clients => MDM GUI CLIENTS 5.5 =>Win32

From here download zip file which is compatible with ur current version

You can see in Drive(Where MDM is Installed)>Program files>SAP MDM5.5-->Workflow Folder.

If Workflow folder is present means its installed, otherwise follow the steps suggesetd by Ankit.

Hi John,

Please check workflow.exe component of same version as of Data Manager and MDM server is installed or not. Or if you are talking about while selecting workflow table then, Go to View and select table workflow.

It will solve your problem

Hello Brad,

In MDM data manager to enable the Workflow tab u have to first install the Work flow component of MDM and then also the microsoft visio.This will solve your problem.

U can find the Workflow component is availiable under the availiable MDM GUI components at service market place of MDM.
