Ariba Cloud - CPI - ECC integration

Hi Experts,

This is regarding Ariba Cloud - CPI - ECC integration. I could see only 2 iflows for Ariba available in standard content. I could see CI9 standard content which covers majority of transactions being used in SAP PO. Can we have this content in CPI as well.

Please suggest.

Also the 2 Ariba iflows in CPI has just a sender and a receiver. There is no mapping or any other activity in these Iflows.

Please provide your comments on this.

Hi Peter,

CIG can be directly implemented as integration as a service. It does not require CPI or SAP PI/PO middleware solutions for any customisation. Customisation framework are already available as part of standard content.

However, if you would like to leverage the usage of CPI or SAP PI/PO, still you can use it. Hope that clarifies you.

can you share your decisions on that? We are currently evaluating "On-premise system to CIG directly" or "On-premise system to CPI to CIG" e.g. also in case of required customization.

Hi Gayathri,

I am looking for Standard content available to integrate Ariba from CPI. My assumption is CI9 standard content works only for SAP PO. I am not sure whether we can have the same content in CPI as I could see only 2 Iflow's in discovery section of CPI. Please find attached the screen shot from CPI for your reference.

Hello Ahmed,

As per my knowledge, there is development going on for Ariba and the packages will be provided as Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG). Please go through the below blog and in the comments section my discussion with Vijay. You would get the clarity on this and the timeline for this CIG is March 2018.

Thanks Nitin. Please check if my understanding is correct

1. Buyer (customer system) -> Ariba CIG (master data standard content & transaction data standard content) -> Ariba Network -> Ariba CIG (EDI formta standard content) -> Supplier

2. For any customization required for standard mappings as part of Ariba CIG do we need to perform in CPI ?

Also could you please help me to understand how do we perform resend/ retry option in CPI ?
