Deactivate/Hide Itemcodes only in Sales Order

Dear Experts,

We are using SAP Business One 9.2PL08 and we are facing the following issue:

There are some items (sales items) that are no longer in use (we do not sell them anymore).

Still, there are still active items in SAP Business ONE as there may be returns form customers that refer to these products. However, we do not want them to appear to any of the new sales orders/invoices as there not for sale anymore.

Is there a way to deactivate/hide only these specific itemcodes from the sales marketing documents apart from the 'Return from Customer' and to use them only in 'Return from Customer' transactions?

Please note that the majority of sales orders are conducted via SAP Businee One Mobile Application.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Kind Regards,

Vasilis Korolis

    Hi Vasilis,

    There are three options:

    1) Add a phrase '*** INACTIVE' of Item Code description in Item Master Data, so that even the Inactive Item is been displayed the user will know that it is Inactive already.

    2) Apply this FMS on Item Code of Invoice

    select Itemcode,ItemName from OITM where OITM.FrozenFor = 'N'

    3) Use Filter(Active From is empty) on the Item list that is opened when tab is clicked on Item description text box.

Let me know if its okay..

    Hi,

There is option to inactive items only for sales order and AR Invoice.

You can try with first option with Shiva's reply. Instead of 'Inactive', use 'only for return' in item description. So that, user will not select those items in sales order.

and add create transaction notification to block transaction if even user accidentally select those items with "only for return".
