MDG-M Purchasing Group Field Required Setting

Hi,

I am currently working on MDG-M V9 Co-Deployed on S4/H.

I have a requirement to make the purchasing group attribute/Field (EKGRP, entity MARCPURCH) mandatory in MDG-M for certain steps of my Rule Based Workflow. I do not want to use BRF if i don not have to so exploring other ways of accomplishing this.

I would like to set it as a required field on the data model itself. But when looking at attributes inside entity MARCPURCH you cannot achieve this as the attribute is referencing type 3 entity EKGRP_X (So it doesn't appear as attribute on MARCPURCH, hence you cant set "required" indicator).

Any ideas on how i can achieve this? You help is appreciated

Thanks

...or if you want to do this MDG-specific (or even based on step and CR type), you can implement BAdI

USMD_ACC_FLD_PROP_CUST_DEP_SET

Hi Braam,

No need to set it up at Data Model layer. Use config.

t-code : OMSR, Look for the field MARC-EKGRP and open the Selection Group (most likely it would be 52). Under the field selection, make the field as required for your Material Type or MM01. It would do the job.

Cheers,
Rohit
