How Costing Sheets can be assigned to Time Sheets (CATS) in PS

Hello Gurus,

Need a help on PS-CO Scenario, where while time booking in CATS, we want a automatic distribution of cost separately for number of hours.

For example : If time booking is done for 10 hours (per unit rate maintained in KP26 is Rs. 10) the total comes out to be 100, but a separate cost allocation is required say as additional cost of 10%, which should be allocated automatically while time booking itself.

So the total cost should be shown as Rs. 110 where 100 is for Time Booking and 10 is additional cost.

One option to get this is Costing Sheet, but I am unable to understand how a Costing Sheet can be assigned to CATS.

Please suggest the possible ways to achieve this.

Regards,

Akash.

This sounds like CO Assessments and Allocations performed during Period Closing. Do some research in this area.

In CATS you only specify CO objects. When you close period hours come to CO as a statistical figures and CO guys distribute them.

Or you use IT27 or cost assignments in IT2002, 14, 15 to do the same in payroll schema.

    Hi All,

We achieved this by using standard functionality of Costing Sheet.

A Costing sheet was configured and assigned to respective Project Profiles > WBS and Network Activities.

Based on the number of hours posted in CATS, the actuals were posted in SAP PS (Projects).

Using CJ46, overheads were calculated (based on the cost element and rates maintained in config.), Overheads were calculated.

    This served the purpose.
