[BI 3.x] vs [BI 4.x] CMC->Application->WebIntelligence

Dear All,
on SAP BOXI 3.1 CMC under Application on WebIntelligence module I have the follow rights :

Web Intelligence: Create document
Web Intelligence: Enable drill mode
Web Intelligence: Enable HTML Report Panel
Web Intelligence: Enable interactive HTML viewing (if license permits)
Web Intelligence: Enable Java Report Panel
Web Intelligence: Enable Query – HTML
Web Intelligence: Interactive: Formatting - Enable toolbar and menus
Web Intelligence: Interactive: General - Ability to hide / show toolbars
Web Intelligence: Interactive: Left pane - Enable available objects, tables and charts
Web Intelligence: Interactive: Left pane - Enable data summary
Web Intelligence: Reporting - Apply and remove existing alerters
Web Intelligence: Web Intelligence Rich Client: Create a document
Web Intelligence: Web Intelligence Rich Client: Enable a client to use it
Web Intelligence: Web Intelligence Rich Client: Enable Personal Data Providers

On SAP BOXI 4.1 those rights are missing... Where are those now ?

For instance if I want to give to a user "Web Intelligence: Create document" rights on SAP BOXI 4.2 How I can accomplish this ?

You should not be looking in customization. Refer Ajay's screenshot above.

I have checked "Users and Groups -> Customization" and unfortunately I didn't see the rights reported below :

1.Web Intelligence: Enable Query – HTML
2.Web Intelligence: Interactive: Reporting - Apply and remove existing alerters
3.Web Intelligence: Web Intelligence Rich Client: Enable Personal Data Providers

Any help ?

Michael,

The process is still very similar.

• Login into CMC
• Click Application on main screen
• Select Web Intelligence Application
• Click on User Security
• Select Group &/or User to make changes against
• Click Assign Security to Group &/or Users
• Click the Advanced Tab > Select Add/Remove Rights
• Choose custom Access Rights to apply

As a best practice it is always recommended to create Custom Access right required within your environment and then assign these Custom Access Rights to the Groups.

In CMC under Application on WebIntelligence apply the Full control and you will be able to create reports.

From BO 3.1 security is changed in BI 4.X. Specific to new design mode in the BI 4.x.
