Hi,

Can someone please explain how does DATE function works under DATA Function while using a CKF.

I have a key figure with value 733,078 to which I want to convert in a date. What would happen if I use DATE (733,078) in CKF ?

Actually there was no issue with the DATE. I had written a routine in update rules which was dividing the date in half before being sent to cube & query respectively.

Tks for the note, but if i apply the above logic it doesn't seem to work. I mean 733078 should fall somewhere in 2008 if you calculate the way you informed but the year I am getting is 1004. No other calculations apart from this one.

Any guess for the cause ?

Yes, for 733078 it gives the output date as 05.02.2008

For your information.

Processing a Value as a Date

DATE

The value is seen as the number of days from 00.01.0000 onwards and output as a date.

The value can be between 0 and a million, which gives a date between 01.01.0000 and 27.11.2738.
