Source determination

Hi

Foe a material there is only one source in the source list.When manulayy the PR is created and the Source Determination box is checked is it expected that the system will automatically assign the source.

This is not happening. What can be the reason.

In TAB source of supply , click on assign source of supply button, it will work.

It cannot be made automatically assignment unless MRP is place.

just check have u maintined the info record for same or not??

If yes then also check in source list what is the validity period for the source of supply

system will not automatically assign the source.

you have to click on assign source.

you can tick the vendor as fixed vendor in source list

then you will get only one vendor.

Hi

Even if the Source determination box is not checked and we click on the Assign source of supply the source will be assigned.

So what I make out is that when MRP is run and if the Source Determination box is checked the source is assigned automatically else we need to click on the Asssign Source tab to assign the source.

Please confirm if I am correct.
