I am using crystal reports for visual studio to run existing reports from my intranet site. When I run on my local computer it works fine but when I deploy to the server, the reports that use an Access database receive a "Database logon failed" message. I haven't been able to find a solution. Is there any way i can get more information about why i'm getting that error message?
Hi Nancy,
Try ProcessMonitor and compare files, it could be you are using the Access driver that is not installed.
Try using ODBC to connect, it's fully supported. The old Jet engine may not be.
And try adding the "admin" to the user name when connecting, I've noticed sometimes Windows requires it.
