Hai,

We are using EP 7.0. Standard SAP ess role is assigned to the user.

The strucuture of this standard ess role is,

Role=>

Workset=>Webdynpro Page

(Employee Self Service)

Workset1=>Webdynpro page1

(Overview)

Workset2=>Webdynpro page2

(Employee Search)

Wokrset3=>Webdynpro page3

(Working Time)

In the first level navigatin "Employee Self Serice" tab is shown, in second level navigation, "Overview", "Employee Search" and "Working Time" tab are shown.

When I login to portal the tabs are shown in this order and the content of "Overview" tab is shown in content area. When I click on "Employee Search" tab the content is opened in new browser. I don't know why it is opend in new browser instead of opening the content in the same page. Please let me know how to solve this problem.

Thanks & Regards,

H.K.Hayath Basha.

Hai Gopal.Sattiraju,

The property "Launch in new window" is already set to "Display in Portal Content Area" for the webdynpro page and the Iview.

When I click on the "Employee Search" tab, the entire portal home page is opened in new browser and the content area of the newly opened browser has "Employee Search content".

Regards,

H.K.Hayath Basha.

Hi,

Try this

Assign standard user role and in masthead click on personalize and open that and change your work protect mode settings and try.If it is ok for this user we can set it for all.

and the other way is open spro t-code and navigate to home page area for self services and then

open the service and resource for employee search and check the drop down may be set to open in a new window.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi,

Is it opening employee search page or opening portal home page in new browser.

If it is opening employee search page then navigate to portal content folder.

Content provided by sap ->end user content--->employee self service and then open the employee search and in properties set it to open in portal content area.

May be the problem with work protect mode also.

Thanks and Regards,
