Hi Experts,

Presently we are using DS 4.2 SP7. A DS job has (.csv) file as source.

In Dev environment the source file is read and loaded into target with out any issue, where as the same file in QA environment throws error as "A row delimiter was seen for row number<> while processing column number <31> in file " . Could you please provide your inputs on this as I'm new to this.

Hello, If you have " within your fields and then you are qualifying text with ", things can get thrown off. Please check your data an dmake sure that you don't have delimiters and double quotes within your data, as this will then throw off the field counts. And if you do have them within your data, then it would be a good idea to change what your delimiter and text qualifiers on in the file.

Hi Praveen,

Select "write error rows to file" to "Yes" and run the job, you will find records where you are getting row delimiter error. solve that based that rows on source table and re-run the job. Hope this help to you.

Thanks

Hi All,

The issue has been fixed by making changes to DSCONFIG.txt file.

Before making changes it was as below:[Locales]AL_Engine = <default>_<default>.utf-8InstalledProductLocales =enProductLocale =

Changes done as below and DS is now able to read the data:

AL_Engine = <default>_<default>.<default>InstalledProductLocales =enProductLocale =

Thanks all for your inputs.
