Error while sending email back to customer in C4C

Hi Team,

I am getting below error in Tickets->Interactions when i send an email back to customer. The domain of the email id is maintained in Activity list of the project in business configuration.

"Signing Error: Signature error: A signing operation could not be performed or failed"

Please help.

This occurs when the S/MIME signatures in the system have expired and the system is trying to encrypt the outgoing emails.

In this case, You need to create an incident to SAP Product Support team for the renewing of the certificates.

Meanwhile as a temporary work around ,

  1. Go to Administrator Work center.
  2. Select the Common Tasks view.
  3. Select the option Configure S/MIME.
  4. Go to Activate S/MIME facet and uncheck all the boxes.
  5. Save the changes.

Please notice that this is only a temporary workaround, after the incident to SAP is resolved and the certificates are renewed the boxes must be checked again.
