ByDesign web service simulation

Hello Community,

I have a business requirement of creating an application in ByDesign which hires employees (based on a file) automatically. For this, we are using the two standard web services:

- Manage Employee Hiring for the hiring process itself
- Manage Employee Data to import some more advanced data like SSN or bank account details (fields which are not present in the first web service).

We send a Hiring request to ByDesign and if the response is successful, we send a Manage Employee Data request to import the more advanced data (if the first web service fails, we do nothing). If the second web service fails, then we still have a hired employee, just without the more advanced data.

However, the customer requires an "all or nothing" approach, meaning that if the second web service fails, he doesn't want any changes in the system at all. Is there some way to "revert" the changes done by the first web service or somehow simulate the behavior of web-services to see if they will successful before actually calling them? Or perhaps a way to keep all the changes "on hold", check if everything works and then commiting them?

Any input, however small, would be appreciated. Thanks.

Best regards,
Filip Kyselica
