BW/4HANA component 'not supported' means 'will not run anymore and not editable anymore ?'

Hello

Reading FAQ's on BW/4HANA and in many occasions it says that such and such component will not be supported. Example is BEX. Does this mean that BEX will not run anymore in BW/4HANA or it will be out of maintenance only. If still able to run, can we still edit the BEX already developed ? And extractors like 2LIS*, for example, will they still run in BW/4HANA ?

You can't use the 2ILS * extractor in BW4 if there are not ODP enabled. SAP has simplified there structure of the source system collection. to load the data from SAP ECC need to use ODP source system.

Query designer is no longer sported u can change and create query from Eclipse, there are few other changes interns of variables etc.

    Hello Yves,

BEx Query Designer, BEx Analyzer (workbooks), and BEx Web Application Designer (web templates) will not run on SAP BW/4HANA.

    Please see

    https://blogs.sap.com/2016/10/13/sap-business-explorer-maintenance-support-policy/

BW Queries continue to work as well as extractors from source systems (we just change the source system type to "ODP").

    Best,

    Hello,

BEx Query Designer can still be used with SAP BW 7.5 but is not supported with SAP BW/4HANA. Using the BW Modeling Tools with SAP BW 7.4 or 7.5 is optional. In SAP BW/4HANA, all queries are created and maintained using the BW Modeling Tools.

Also BEx Analyzer (workbooks), and BEx Web Application Designer (web templates) will not run on SAP BW/4HANA.

    BW/4HANA details : https://blogs.sap.com/2016/11/02/bw4hana-in-a-nutshell/

    Thanks & regards,

    Debajit
