Back-end authorizations required for Fiori Operation Scrap analytical app

Hello experts,

We have configured the Operation Scrap analytical app in our hub gateway system and our backend system is running SAP S/4HANA 1610 FPS02. We have assigned the business role to the test users but when these users logon to the launchpad the Operation Scrap tile does not show any data.

When we logon to the launchpad with an administrator user we can see data being displayed on this tile.

Our questions is where can we find the exact authorizations required by the end users in the back-end system so that the app starts displaying the available data? We are unable to find any missing authorizations to the affected user in SU53 in the back-end.

Regards,

Saurabh

In my case, assigning the authorization object C_AFRU_AWK in the S/4HANA system solved the issue, users were able to see the required data in the Operation Scrap Fiori app.

Hi Saurabh,

The authorizations will depend on the CDS view being used and what DCL objects are linked to the CDS View. DCLs link the CDS View to the related authorizations. As an administrator, you can check these in SAPGUI transaction SACM. You can even test what a specific user may be missing.

In the Fiori Apps Library these views are mentioned

  • C_MfgOrdoperationscrapQry_CDS
  • I_MfgOrderoperationconfcube

Hello Jocelyn,

Thanks a lot for your response!

Can you please elaborate a little on what I can do once I Am in the transaction SACM in the backend? I can see some links under sections Designtime and Runtime but am not sure how I should proceed.

Saurabh

We had to assign the authorization object C_AFRU_AWK to the user in the backend system following which the tile started showing the relevant data.

Hi Saurabh, There's a good brief explanation in SAP Note 2128709 - Analytics based on CDS Entities: No data returned in Query although Data Preview in ABAP Development Tools shows data https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2128709

It's a useful tool! Glad you worked it out
