Licensing with SQL Anywhere 17

Does the processor liocense allow for the use of multiple engines on the same server ?

    Hi Terry,

Yes, with core-based license you can run multiple SQL Anywhere servers (or engines) on the same machine, but each will use up to as many processors as allowed by your license.

So, if, for example, you have a license for 4 cores, and your machine has 5 cores, you can run one or more dbsrv17 (or dbeng17) processes and each will use 4 cores.

Let me know if I misunderstood your question.

    Regards,
    Evgeniya
