Can't login to Analysis for MS Excel using BW/4HANA and BPC 11

Hi have created an instance on Azure for BW/4HANA SP05 and BPC 11 SP01 from SAP CAL.

Everything works fine. I can login to the system and I can use the Web Client.

Then I installed Office 2016 and the Analysis tool for Excel.

When I try to login using this tool I got the following error

When using http://[Server]:[Port]/sap/bpc/:

Framework message:
The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.
An error occurred while receiving the HTTP response to http://[server]:[port]/sap/bpc/session?method=Get. This could be due to the service endpoint binding not using the HTTP protocol. This could also be due to an HTTP request context being aborted by the server (possibly due to the service shutting down). See server logs for more details.
The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.
Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

and when using https://[Server]:[Port]/sap/bpc/

Framework message:
The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel with authority '[server]:[port]'.
The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.

I use Remote Desktop Connection to login to the Azure server and work from there.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!.

Hi Mauro,

Are you using the embedded model or the Standard model?

Hi Selva, I'm using the standard model. But I can't even login using the Business Analysis tool

The web client works perfectly using a HTTP connection.

Regards.

Hi Mauro,

I couldn't understand the HTTP part that you mentioned on the question. When you are using Analysis for Office connecting to a BW/4HANA, you need to setup the connections on your saplogon.ini file. Please check our official information on Admin Guide.

By your description, you can check if on the remote desktop you have the saplogon.ini file to be sure that you are using the same one.

This is by Analysis for Office perspective.

Thanks,
Diego

Dear Mauro,

Did you provide the details for 'server' and 'port' in connection URL during login process in Analysis for Office ? Could you please list the steps to reproduce the error ?

Regards

Please check setup, something is configured incorrectly!

Probably, but I don't know what it could be. That's why I posted the question.

Sorry, but I see a lot of users with BPC 11 and some basic feature is not working. At the end something was incorrect with setup!

Please read: https://help.sap.com/viewer/c2c861bca6d3467ca49e758bcc6abdfb/11.0/en-US

And check all steps!

That will not work for me. I installed an instance of BW/4HANA with BPC 11 from SAP CAL. I had a full installed instance on Azure, through the SAP Cloud Appliance Library, I really didn't install anything.
