What is the reason of doing recording in BDC !

What is the reason of doing recording.....CAn we directly write the code ???

    You could, but it is quite convenient to just record a list of the relevant screens and fields rather than working it all out by yourself. Think about Excel, would you rather just record a few mouse clicks or tediously enter the VBA code yourself?

    You can always fine tune the recording later on.

    hi,

    Recording helps you the screen flow that you want to traverse ... If you are familiar with the screen and the standard program name(for field reference) you can avoid it and you can even use BAPI instead of using BDC ...
