Dears,
We have installed Netweaver 7.0 on windows 2003 on SQL server. Now I am cofiguring MI on the server.
For configration as i come to know from installation guide netweaver 2004s,I used configration wizard and performed all task successfully in wizard.
Now as per the guide there is no additional configration step required.but now when our poral guys are trying to access portal by http://hostname:port number/me
they are getting message that
Requested service does not exist.
Please suggest that is there any addtional step requied to use MI beside the configration wizard and how can i know that MI has been configured properly.
Regards,
Shivam
Hi Shivam,
Webconsole is not a part of MI 7.0. In place of web console MI 7.0 has NetWeaver mobile abministrator, which has the same feature as webconsole has, with some more addon functionalities.
Use following link to run NWA.
http://hostnem:portnumber/nwa.

Hi,
the first and easiest thing to do:
Open then NWA in http://J2EEIP:J2EEPort/nwa
If you then open the Mobile are and you can go through all screens and search for informations there - even you find nothing - without getting errors like: can not connect to... or anything like that, your Middleware setup is correct.
Then the next test is to setup a mobile device and do a sync. Be aware you need to sync against the ICM port (usully 8000) not the J2EE Port (50000)! This is cause in MI7.0 we do not use the Sync Servlet on the J2EE any longer.
If this works fine as well, your setup is correct. If you have issues, most likely you have not assigned appropiate authorisations to the used system users for JCO conenction and that stuff at setup.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Oliver
